Phantom Blot's signature gauntlet is a powerful device that can suck up and destroy magic, as we see in "The Phantom and the Sorceress!" when he steals Gladstone's luck and almost destroys Lena, who is a being made of pure magic. He hides his true self for unknown reasons and uses strategies on missions that involve stealth and hiding in the shadows.Īlthough he would technically fall under this category no matter what seeing that the characters of DuckTales are all anthropomorphic animals, Phantom Blot, as mentioned before, holds qualities that would be seen as nonhuman by the typical characters of the show, such as his mysterious glowing eyes and altered voice. Phantom Blot's style of performance and appearance is very mysterious. On top of this, his appearance with the cloak and hood is already somewhat monstrous. His glowing eyes definitely show that he is potentially otherworldly or at least does not fit the typical "human" standards of the show. While we never find out what occupation he had before Magica destroyed his village, it can be assumed that he was some type of inventor from how experienced he seems with creating these devices.
